About The Position

This is a leadership-first role overseeing IT service and support for North American operations within the fast-paced Waste, Recycling sector. Reporting to the ITSS Director, the Regional IT Manager acts as the bridge between technology and frontline workers, ensuring diverse lines of business (collection, sorting, specialized treatment) remain connected and efficient. We are looking for a culture-builder who can unite a geographically dispersed team of IT technicians into a cohesive, high-performing unit.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in IT, with at least 3+ years in a formal management or leadership role overseeing remote teams.
  • Experience in heavy industry, logistics, or waste management is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40-50% to visit sites and engage with technicians face-to-face.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Management or equivalent field experience.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a remote team of IT Technicians across multiple states.
  • Foster a "one team" culture, conduct regular 1-on-1s, performance coaching (setting KPIs), and lead the hiring process for new regional talent.
  • Manage the IT lifecycle for numerous facilities, including landfills, recycling centers, and corporate offices (Multi-Site Oversight).
  • Partner with regional VPs and GMs to align IT initiatives with business goals and implement corporate IT standards across all sites.
  • Oversee OpEx and CapEx to ensure lean spending and budget alignment.
  • Lead regional deployments of hardware, networking, and facility-specific technology.
