The Regional Human Resources Manager (RHRM) provides strategic HR leadership, operational oversight, and consultative guidance across multiple airport stations within the East Region of dnata US (excluding NY). This role acts as a bridge between Corporate HR Leadership and the field, applying business knowledge and HR expertise across multiple jurisdictions to optimize operational efficiencies. The RHRM oversees local HR Managers and advises Area Directors, Station General Managers, and cross-functional leadership to ensure the successful execution of corporate strategies, compliance, and culture-building initiatives, while fostering positive employee relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 4–6 years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally including multi-site regional oversight or senior HR generalist experience within high-volume, operational, or unionized environments.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of HR best practices, local labor laws, and airport/aviation regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage highly confidential matters with appropriate discretion, sound judgment, and a customer-focused, professional attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to motivate, collaborate, lead, and foster a team environment across remote locations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, with the ability to effectively prioritize, meet strict deadlines, and deliver prompt, courteous customer service.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with HRIS systems required, with Dayforce experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Senior Management to establish and execute human resources strategies, translating corporate initiatives and Center of Excellence (COE) rollouts into actionable regional plans.
  • Provide strategic advice, HR expertise, and day-to-day consultation to operations and station management.
  • Act as a catalyst for organizational development by recommending innovative approaches, progressive policies, and change management procedures to optimize regional efficiency.
  • Generate and interpret regional HR metrics (e.g., turnover, headcount, audit compliance) to provide high-level insights, keeping details organized to track task progress and strategic initiatives to completion.
  • Direct and lead the administration of company policies, ensuring strict adherence to airport authority guidelines, federal, state, and local labor laws across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage the regional deployment and implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs); ensure the contract is followed, support grievances and arbitrations, and participate in collective bargaining activities.
  • Manage internal and external compliance or employee complaints within the region from initial notification through thorough investigation and final resolution. Assist legal and corporate teams with responses to discovery requests.
  • Oversee the formal vetting, processing, and documentation of employee separations and exit practices across the region.
  • Oversee regional data integrity, benefits inquiry workflows (including advisory on leave of absence), and optimal HRIS system usage, maximizing the capabilities of the Dayforce platform.
  • Serve as a dedicated coach, mentor, and liaison for GMs and local HR teams. Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and conduct annual training or development sessions as necessary.
  • Coordinate the regional performance management program, ensuring that performance expectations, coaching cycles, evaluations, and policy guidance are met satisfactorily.
  • Champion employee engagement, diversity, and equity initiatives across all stations. Provide strategic assistance on Equal Employment Opportunity plans, objective setting, and response administration.
  • Perform project work and other corporate HR duties as assigned by leadership.
