About The Position

As a Regional HR Manager, you’ll assist in building the foundation to support our business and workforce. You will serve as a high-level consultant to management within your region on Human Resources-related issues, and you’ll act as a change agent to foster the development of an employee-oriented company culture that embodies our organization’s vision, mission, and culture. HR plays an important role in all businesses, but as a true partner in 48forty, the Regional HR Manager is vital to the success of our overall business! Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Thorough knowledge of labor legislation, including California
  • 3-5 years HR business partner experience required
  • Broad working knowledge of all aspects of HR functions and business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Data Analytics, Microsoft Office and general computer skills
  • Strong planning and execution skills
  • Solid cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong writing, interpersonal and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • HR Certification (SHRM/PHR) preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Bilingual abilities (English and Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Formulate partnerships across the business function(s) and HR to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues - conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to field management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Consult often with field management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance, in many states, including California, partnering with our Legal department as needed
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, to build morale, and to increase productivity and retention
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to all employees
  • Deliver guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Identify training needs for assigned locations and individual executive coaching needs
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, then follow up to ensure training objectives are met
