About The Position

Admiral Beverage is seeking a driven and dedicated HR Leader, also known as an HR Manager and member of SHRM, to join their growing HR team. As a family-owned business, they value strong relationships with employees and customers. The HR Manager will align business objectives with employees and management in designated business units, acting as a consultant, employee champion, and change agent. This role involves anticipating HR needs, developing integrated solutions, and fostering partnerships within the HR function to support business objectives. The HR Manager will maintain business literacy, conduct regular meetings with business units, and provide HR guidance. They will analyze trends, manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations, develop training programs, and ensure legal compliance. Additionally, the role involves providing performance management guidance, improving employee relations, interpreting HR policies, and contributing to labor budget, workforce, and succession planning. The HR Manager will also identify training needs and monitor training program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Align business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
  • Serve as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues.
  • Act as an employee champion and change agent.
  • Assess and anticipate HR-related needs, communicating them proactively to the HR department and business management.
  • Develop integrated solutions to HR needs.
  • Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees.
  • Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Develop and conduct employee training programs as assigned.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provide guidance and input on labor budget development and management, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual senior manager coaching needs.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
