Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher required.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Health & Safety, EHS, or related role.
  • Experience creating and delivering safety training programs to employees in operational or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and the ability to apply federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with both frontline employees and leadership teams.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, multi-site environment and spending time in the field supporting operations.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health and safety programs across multiple facilities.
  • Review, update, and help enforce safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientation, refresher training, contractor training, and HAZWOPER-related initiatives.
  • Conduct safety inspections, maintain safety records, and track training and compliance activities within the EHS reporting system.
  • Assist with incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, drills, and readiness exercises to promote a safe work environment.
  • Partner with site leadership, Safety Committees, and frontline employees to promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
