About The Position

Dementia affects every community, and meaningful change happens when people feel connected to a cause and empowered to support it. At Alzheimer’s Society, fundraising plays a vital role in making our work possible. From local community events to corporate partnerships and individual giving, every relationship helps us continue supporting people affected by dementia. As Regional Fundraiser for Norfolk & Suffolk, you will help build and strengthen those relationships. You will work across your local area to engage supporters, develop new opportunities and ensure people feel confident and valued in the difference they are making. You will be part of a collaborative fundraising team, working closely with colleagues across the region. The role combines relationship building, planning and delivery, with a strong focus on community presence and long-term engagement.

Requirements

  • Experience of building positive relationships with people, groups or organisations over time
  • Confidence working with basic financial information such as targets or income, with support where needed
  • Ability to spot opportunities and help develop them into practical and achievable plans
  • Understanding of or experience working with volunteers, or appreciation of their role
  • A collaborative approach, working well with colleagues and contributing to shared goals
  • Clear and respectful communication, with the ability to adapt your approach to different people and situations
  • A willingness to learn, a thoughtful approach to relationship building and an interest in helping people feel connected to a cause that matters to them.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver fundraising activity across Norfolk & Suffolk, working towards agreed income and engagement goals with support and guidance
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, community groups and individual supporters, ensuring they feel valued and connected to impact
  • Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities through networking, conversation and community engagement
  • Create accessible and engaging ways for people to get involved in fundraising, adapting your approach to different audiences
  • Work closely with colleagues and volunteers across teams to deliver joined up activity and shared goals
  • Monitor activity and income performance, using insight to support planning and decision making
  • Represent Alzheimer’s Society at events and in community settings, including occasional evenings and weekends
