About The Position
HealthCARE Express is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as a PRN Regional Float Provider. This position is designed to provide additional coverage across our Texas urgent care clinics based on patient volume, staffing needs, and clinic coverage. This is a great fit for a provider who enjoys the flexibility of PRN work, is comfortable working in different clinic environments, and can jump in and provide excellent patient care wherever coverage is needed.
Requirements
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant eligible to practice in Texas.
- Dependable.
- Adaptable.
- Confident working independently.
- Comfortable stepping into different clinic teams as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Previous urgent care, emergency medicine, or other fast-paced clinical experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in an urgent care setting.
- Work alongside clinical teams to keep patient care moving efficiently.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
- Order and interpret appropriate testing.
- Prescribe medications when indicated.
- Perform procedures within your scope of practice.
- Provide patient education and follow-up instructions.
