About The Position

The Regional Field Supervisor (RFS) manages a team of part-time Field Inventory Representatives (FIRs) who perform used vehicle inventory collection at automotive dealerships and conduct audits for OEM programs. This role oversees execution, quality, and timeliness across a multi-state territory, ensuring compliance with inventory standards, OEM audit requirements, and evolving operational processes. The RFS also stays current with technology, tools, and system changes that impact field operations.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 2–3 years of management experience in a service, operations, automotive, or field-based environment.
  • Experience managing remote or part-time teams preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and operational changes.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.
  • Ability to incur business-related travel expenses with standard reimbursement timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and terminate part-time Field Inventory Representatives (FIRs) and/or OEM Auditors.
  • Directly manage approximately 25–30 FIRs/Auditors across a multi-state territory.
  • Document employee communications and performance discussions at least monthly.
  • Limit turnover through engagement, coaching, and clear expectations.
  • Oversee used vehicle inventory collection to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Monitor adherence to OEM audit guidelines, certification standards, and quality requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of inventory submissions and audit work product.
  • Ensure timely data collection, issue resolution, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Optimize inventory quantity and mix to support operational needs.
  • Identify industry trends related to vehicle configuration, OEM audits, and inventory practices.
  • Stay current on technology, systems, tools, and platforms used for inventory and audits.
  • Translate system and process updates into clear guidance for FIRs.
  • Develop and maintain training guides, job aids, and reference materials.
  • Manage 5–7 departmental service levels tied to inventory and audit performance.
  • Monitor KPIs related to quality, timeliness, and coverage.
  • Manage travel planning and expenses in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Travel up to approximately 75% within the assigned multi-state territory.
