Regional Field Nurse Supervisor - Temp to Perm - Bronx
About The Position
FlexStaff is seeking a temp-to-perm Regional Field Nurse Supervisor for our client, a non-profit healthcare organization providing home and community-based healthcare and services for the elderly. The Regional Field Nurse Supervisor is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in their homes. Conduct supervisory joint visits with Field Nurses. Provide training/in-service education to professional clinical field staff and paraprofessional staff. Perform nursing duties as assigned in the Diagnostic & Treatment Center (DTC) or Medical Practice. In addition, this role serves as a clinical oversight and quality monitoring resource for home-based clinical services.
Requirements
- Current active and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Completed NYSED-approved infection control coursework.
- Minimum of three (3+) years of clinical nursing experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with a frail or elderly population.
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Vehicle and current New York State driver's license required.
- Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting.
- Experience with long-term care or managed care systems beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Conduct supervisory joint visits with Field Nurses.
- Provide training/in-service education to professional clinical field staff and paraprofessional staff.
- Perform nursing duties as assigned in the Diagnostic & Treatment Center (DTC) or Medical Practice.
- Serve as a clinical oversight and quality monitoring resource for home-based clinical services.
- Conduct audits and validate clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with evidence-based nursing practice.
- Perform joint supervisory field visits with clinical field staff, observe skills competencies, and provide oversight and supervision to paraprofessional staff.
- Collaborate with partner organizations, care coordinators, and Interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
- Adhere to all clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines.
- Supervise, instruct, and guide CHNs, Personal Care Aides, or Home Health Aides.
- Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for assigned cases by coordinating care activities, monitoring service delivery.
