About The Position

This role involves coordinating export control related issues, advising local personnel on export and customs matters across assigned regions. The professional will analyze and monitor changes in export control regulations, ensure the implementation of guidelines and standards, and maintain up-to-date master data. They will also process transactions, initiate audits, conduct training, and support export control experts in assigned countries.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary Degree.
  • 5 years, or more, of relevant export control experience.
  • Expertise in US Export Control Laws and Regulations and working knowledge of Canada and EU Export Control regulations as well as ITAR.
  • Ability to assess and execute tasks relevant to Export Control.
  • Adequate technical acumen and experience with jurisdiction and classification analysis, and strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • High degree of dependability and conscientiousness, with the ability to make appropriate fact-based decisions and assess risks.
  • Able to review and have a basic understanding of export control agreements, licenses / permits, and regulatory language.
  • Knowledge of and experience with SAP GTS Export Control tool or similar Export Control tools.
  • This position subject to requirements defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62: a US person as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate export control related issues, advise local export and customs personnel on all export control matters across, for all LE in the region assigned.
  • Analyze and monitor changes of national and international export control regulations.
  • Ensure adoption, implementation and monitoring of related guidelines and standards, and ensure master data records are up-to-date in the system.
  • Decide and process cases and queries with respect to subject matter related transactions, as an escalation instance.
  • Initiate and ensure execution of audit and assessment programs in related matters.
  • Conduct trainings, support and advise export control experts in the countries assigned.
