The Regional Environmental, Health & Safety Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing regional activities associated with Environmental, Health and Safety compliance. This role involves leading and directing EHS activities for the A&I operations group, reinforcing safe working techniques, policies, guidelines, and procedures. The position provides daily guidance and direction at the regional level to ensure a common and effective approach, assists with regulatory compliance, and aids with incident and injury reduction. It also involves developing, implementing, and coordinating regulatory programs, demonstrating a strong knowledge of Federal and Regional regulations (OSHA and EPA), and managing environmental regulatory and reporting requirements. The role requires knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations, assisting in loss identification and risk evaluation, coordinating regulatory agency inspections, reviewing accidents and incidents, conducting field reviews, and maintaining knowledge of new regulations. Additionally, the position is responsible for developing and implementing an EHS training matrix, conducting EHS and DOT training, managing workers’ compensation and other insurance programs, managing EHS web-based systems, and assisting with the Business Development process. The role requires adherence to all company health and safety procedures and may involve other duties as assigned.
