About The Position

The Regional EHS Manager serves as an EHS Business Partner to our Northeast & Southeast regions in the US and is responsible for driving a culture of safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship across multiple locations within the regions. This role provides leadership, technical expertise, and strategic direction to ensure all operations meet or exceed regulatory and company EHS standards. The Regional EHS Manager partners with operations, fleet, maintenance, and leadership teams to implement effective programs that protect employees, customers, and company assets. This is a remote position with up 75% travel primarily to our depots within our Northeast & Southeast regions. The position must be located in the US with the ideal candidate located in the Eastern or Central time zones.

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the regions
  • 7+ years of progressive EHS experience, including multi-site or regional management.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive cultural change across diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or CIH

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs, policies, and procedures across assigned locations.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Partner with regional and local leadership to identify safety trends, develop corrective actions, and monitor performance metrics.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver and coordinate EHS training, including new hire orientation, safety meetings, and specialized regulatory training.
  • Oversee environmental programs including waste management, spill prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage EHS data reporting and ensure accurate tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for regional leadership and field operations on EHS matters.
  • Promote employee engagement and accountability for safety through proactive communication, coaching, and recognition.
  • Collaborate with corporate EHS to align regional programs with company-wide strategy and compliance goals.
