About The Position

FST Technical Services’ Commissioning (Cx) division is among the nation’s leading Cx firms, delivering unmatched quality assurance across the design, construction, and post-acceptance phases of building projects. We ensure mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated systems are designed, installed, and functionally tested to meet clients’ exacting requirements and design intent. We are seeking a Regional Engineering Director - Commissioning / Building Systems to lead our regional teams, drive business growth, and set the standard for technical excellence. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related building engineering discipline
  • 12+ years of experience in building engineering, construction and/or commissioning including 7 years of management experience
  • Proven track record and excellent customer relation skills
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Excellent Coach and Mentor skills
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Ability to present in front of a group of people
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting at least 30 pounds and climbing ladders
  • Travel required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Regional Workload and Ensure our teams perform high-quality work while maximizing regional / company profitability
  • Ensure Regional Staff is Organized and staff is fully utilized
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on large and/or complicated projects within all regions.
  • Ensure quality control of projects to allow for bet possible product to be presented to the client.
  • Review and approve the invoicing and other financial reporting of the regional on a monthly / quarterly basis.
  • Lead the development of regional staff
  • Serve as a transformational leader within the organization and provide regular guidance with direct reports related to business, project and personnel development
  • Be a visible and engaged leader, supporting the staff both in the office and project sites
  • Participate in company initiatives to train and develop our team members
  • Develop a Sustaining Pipeline for the continued growth of your Region and the Company
  • Support the development of relationships with new and existing clients
  • Provide guidance and oversight to regional Senior Engineers on new business initiatives
  • Generate and / or oversee the generation of proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Support our culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Work with other Regional Leaders to ensure our Cx Team executes work in a consistent, high quality manner.
  • Assess our processes and where appropriate, work with the other regional leaders to implement improvements to our business.
  • Other special projects as appropriate.
