About The Position
Wismettac is looking for a professional, safety-minded CDL Driver to be the face of our company. You aren’t just moving freight; you’re building relationships and ensuring our high-quality products reach our customers safely and on time. This role offers a great blend of driving and physical activity, with opportunities for professional growth in food safety standards and logistics technology. Occasional interstate and out-of-state deliveries provide variety for those who enjoy the open road.
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a solid driving record.
- Ability to handle strenuous physical work, including lifting, pulling, pushing 50+ lbs and maneuvering in/out of the cab.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and a "safety-first" attitude.
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends to beat the traffic and meet customer needs.
- Comfortable using tablets for E-logs and reporting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with FSMA food safety standards and logistics technology.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty delivery trucks (avg 26,000 lbs), managing established routes and providing top-tier service to our clients.
- Navigate routes safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
- Deliver products, and maintain positive client relationships.
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (E-logs).
- Load and unload merchandise (up to 50 lbs) and assist in warehouse operation when needed.
