This traveling position is responsible for hauling food waste and organic materials using end-dump trailers while providing route coverage and operational support wherever needed. The Lead Support Driver is a critical member of the transportation team, filling open routes caused by staffing shortages, PTO, vacations, sick leave, FMLA, training assignments, and other operational needs. This position requires independence, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to travel extensively to maintain uninterrupted service for our customers. Travel will primarily include Michigan, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. Additional travel throughout the Midwest and surrounding regions may be required based on business needs. The ideal candidate is an experienced CDL driver who enjoys variety, works well independently, communicates effectively, and can identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues while on the road. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring sound judgment, alertness, and attention to detail. Employees are responsible for their safety and the safety of others.
