About The Position

This job supports the mission by enabling safe, compliant, and reliable road/air/rail transportation, warehousing, terminal operations, and export shipments across North America. You will lead logistics safety and compliance across the North American network to help ensure the crop protection products our farmer customers need is delivered safely on time for the growing season, cost-effectively, and sustainably. In this role, you will drive consistent best practices across multiple transportation modes, sites, regulations, and logistics partners in a complex operating environment. You will play a critical role in incident response, investigations, and corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk and strengthen operational discipline. Success in this role will come from building trusted partnerships, maintaining strong regulatory and safety expertise, and continuous improvement across the distribution network to help make logistics a competitive advantage for Corteva. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics management, Supply Chain, Environmental Health & Safety, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety, regulatory compliance, distribution, logistics, or hazardous materials management, preferably within a regulated chemical or agricultural industry environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOT, OSHA, EPA, and dangerous goods transportation regulations, including applicable U.S. and Canadian requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hazardous materials transportation, dangerous goods compliance, third-party logistics operations, and audit or corrective action management is preferred.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA certification) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing distribution operations.
  • Serve as focal point for IMDG, IATA, TDG and EPA regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Review and approve customer bulk tank inspection related to bulk product changeover compatibility, tank construction and EPA establishment member validation.
  • Review and approve artwork change requests through GLAMS
  • Lead distribution safety assessments and audits for new logistics service providers.
  • Serve as the Regional focal point for the Dangerous Goods change management process
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to prevent workplace injuries and accidents.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues.
  • Lead safety training programs for distribution staff to ensure awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Investigate and report on safety incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop, implement and maintain safety compliance tracking dashboard.
  • Track and report compliance and safety metrics to senior management.
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of compliance and safety activities
  • Develop and drive the regional strategy to strengthen distribution safety and compliance performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in compliance and safety practices.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance safety and compliance performance.
  • Lead cross-modal root cause analysis for unplanned events and support investigations across relevant countries and regions in partnership with the Global Risk Manager and logistics teams to define corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for compliance and safety projects and activities, and engage regional and global networks to leverage and standardize best practices.
  • Lead Dangerous Goods Change management project and process development.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on compliance and safety topics.
  • Mentor and develop staff to build a strong compliance and safety culture.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Develop RACI structures, communication plan and workflow instructions.
  • Coordinate and lead emergency response drills and exercises.
  • Serve as the point of contact for emergency situations, ensuring swift and effective response.
