The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is seeking multiple Regional Disability Liaisons (SHPC2s) to join a new team in Child Welfare. Each Liaison will support one designated Region while being part of the Child Welfare Programs and Practice Team. These roles are crucial in removing barriers for clients seeking resources and support services, and in monitoring regional practice to ensure compliance with the Voluntary Resolution Agreement (VRA) with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The positions offer significant opportunities for leadership, system and practice change, and networking across the state, merging Child Welfare and Disability practice. Extensive knowledge of DCYF Child Welfare policy, procedures, and practice is required, as these roles provide guidance on critical case decisions, federal reporting, and court documentation. The work has mission-critical impacts for children, youth, and families in Washington State, emphasizing knowledge, organization, communication, and experience in Disability services and Child Welfare.
