About The Position

3i is a rapidly growing, invitation-only community of family offices and private investors sharing deals, insights, and networks. With a focus on alternative and off-market deal flow, shared benefits, and investor services, 3i serves as a kitchen table around which highly engaged high net worth individuals can discuss and debate compelling investment opportunities. Our network of 700+ investors has deployed nearly $1 billion through the community over the past few years since launching. We're looking for a Regional Director based in Chicago to serve our Midwest members. The Regional Director at 3i is responsible for ensuring that members derive maximum value from the platform. This is a highly-autonomous remote role based in Chicago that includes both setting the strategy for how to engage and grow the 3i network as well as executing that strategy to turn it into reality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or sales, preferably in the financial or investment industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel as needed for in-person meetings and events
  • Passion for community, building relationships, and helping people succeed

Responsibilities

  • Setting the regional strategy: Understand members' investment, personal, philanthropic, business, and career goals to determine how the 3i network can best assist them. Act as the voice of members to advance 3i in the region. Develop a strategy for member engagement and growth, collaborating with the 3i HQ team.
  • Member engagement: Manage the onboarding of new members to ensure seamless integration and immediate value. Conduct quarterly check-ins to monitor member progress and success. Connect members with relevant resources like investing groups, events, masterminds, introductions, and deal diligence calls. Serve as a liaison between members and the 3i investment team to keep members informed of relevant deals. Ensure a positive member experience to encourage membership renewal.
  • Member growth: Implement a growth strategy to expand the 3i network within the region. Leverage the referral-only network by requesting, qualifying, and engaging with referrals. Manage a high-touch sales process to close prospects.
  • Local community-building: Cultivate relationships with prominent individuals in the region. Develop and execute an event and engagement strategy for the region, in partnership with the Events team for logistics. Identify event themes, curate attendee lists, and host events. Facilitate small curated meals and host larger events.
