The Regional Director of Sales (RDOS) will be responsible for strategic, outbound, and proactive sales efforts for a portfolio of 6 multi-branded hotels located across Canada and/or the USA. This is a remote, home-based position that reports to an Executive Director of Sales Performance.

Requirements

  • 3 or more consecutive years of hotel guestroom sales experience in business transient, crew, and government segments within a select service hotel.
  • 2 years of experience in a Dual or Area hotel sales role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of hotel systems, RFP process, and brand tools.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively to convert prospecting efforts into actualized revenue.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with hotel clients and team members.
  • General hotel operations knowledge.
  • Proven experience using a CRM system to manage sales pipeline and track progress.
  • Strong ability to use all Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) for reporting, presentations, and progress updates.
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office at a computer for extended periods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for correspondence, proposals, and reports.
  • Strong organization, time management, and adaptability skills.
  • Collaborative team player who is goal-oriented, eager to contribute and learn, and seeks continuous improvement.
  • Applicant can reside anywhere in Canada or the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic, outbound, and proactive sales for a portfolio of 6 multi-branded hotels.
  • Create a sales-focused culture with General Managers and Front Desk staff by sharing best practices and peer-to-peer coaching.
  • Drive ROI for hotel partners and achieve revenue milestones within a 6-month sales cycle.
  • Activate new accounts in the local market and increase market share from existing accounts through intentional and strategic prospecting.
  • Deliver bi-weekly sales strategy presentations over MS Teams with each designated hotel to report progress.
  • Develop and nurture a sales pipeline utilizing Salesforce CRM to manage accounts and shorten the sales cycle.
  • Support the Dynamic Sales Solution model by working closely with the assigned POD (team) to drive revenue across the portfolio of hotels.
  • Create remarkable client experiences, manage client expectations, and maintain a high level of client satisfaction by acting as a seamless extension of the hotel and representing clients with professionalism and integrity.
  • Travel for bimonthly in-market visits to elevate and strengthen client relationships with Hotel Owners, General Managers, and teams, expanding sales targets and increasing revenue.
