This role is for a passionate individual to service customers in the healthcare, school, university, military, and commercial building setting, providing unsurpassed security and life-safety solutions and essential support services (LEED consultation, code compliance, access control system integration, product research and selection, specification writing services, technical support, etc.) to ensure well-functioning doorway systems in the commercial building industry.

  • Must reside in the Western US (Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle metro area preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ASSA ABLOY product solutions and competitive offerings preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: Business, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent).
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ sales experience in Door Hardware/Security/EAC industry preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial role with responsibility for directing staff is preferred.
  • Must have program management or sales management experience/a background in leadership in the door and hardware security industry or other industrial sales industry (Construction, Facilities Management, Building Materials, Electronics, etc.).
  • Affiliation and interaction with key industry associations (ASIS, DHI, SHDA, ALOA, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Grow ASSA ABLOY brand sales, brand awareness, and product knowledge by shaping and executing the Aftermarket channel strategy within an assigned Region.
  • Create demand with the local Door Security Solutions (DSS) sales team and targeted customers in the Region.
  • Extensive customer interaction with key influencers to drive growth, personnel training, competitive displacement, and solution upgrade opportunities.
  • Develop and implement account management plans focusing on product growth initiatives, training initiatives, field sales programs/activities, incentive plan performance, and investment of market development funds.
  • Influence, manage, and drive accountability of people without having direct authority over them.
  • Provide leadership support and training to a team of Aftermarket Business Development Representatives.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with DSS territory & regional sales leaders, channel, technology, and vertical market resources.
  • Partner with ASSA ABLOY Brand Business Development, Marketing, and Training resources to develop and implement business development programs, marketing campaigns, training events, etc.
  • Have proficient knowledge and presentation ability of ASSA ABLOY products and programs, in addition to possessing key competitor products and programs knowledge.
