About The Position

The Regional Director of Revenue Management is responsible for the development, execution, and measurement of strategic and tactical pricing, inventory management, and distribution strategies across Evans Hotels’ San Diego portfolio. This role drives revenue optimization across all segments through a data-driven and demand-based approach. This position works closely with executive leadership, property teams, sales, marketing, and the Director of Reservations to ensure alignment of pricing, selling strategies, and revenue goals. The Regional Director leads forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis, while identifying opportunities to increase market share, RevPAR, and overall profitability. The role provides leadership and oversight to the Area Revenue Analyst, who supports reporting, forecasting, pricing execution, and analysis of market trends, booking patterns, and distribution performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years plus of progressive experience in hotel revenue management.
  • Independent hotel experience required, with strong preference for multi-property or regional experience.
  • Prior experience in luxury, Five Diamond, or Five Star hotel environments
  • San Diego location preferred.
  • Open availability, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Strong understanding of website offers, booking engine merchandising, OTA visibility, and paid media alignment.
  • Strong understanding of total revenue management across rooms, resort fees, parking, F&B, spa, activities, upgrades, and ancillary revenue.
  • Experience with group displacement analysis, meeting space yield, banquet contribution, shoulder-night strategy, and group pace.
  • Strong understanding of cost of acquisition, channel contribution, and profitable revenue mix.
  • Ability to analyze channel profitability, OTA dependency, Net RevPAR, TrevPAR, and cost of acquisition.
  • Strong reservations strategy experience, including call conversion, upsell strategy, sell scripts, and booking pace review.
  • Ability to identify ROI opportunities by market, segment, season, booking window, and channel.
  • Experience presenting ownership-level reporting with clear risks, opportunities, and action plans.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing spend, campaign ROI, and revenue impact.
  • Hands-on IDeaS RMS and/or Infor PMS experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of STR, Agency360, Demand360, Kalibri, OTA Insight (Lighthouse), CRS, PMS, RMS, and booking engine reporting
  • Strong understanding of digital distribution, direct booking strategies, and channel performance.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to develop and execute effective pricing and booking strategies across all market segments for Evans Hotels’.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Reservations to ensure the reservations team’s selling approach aligns with revenue strategies, pricing tactics, and business mix objectives.
  • Provide direction and alignment to the work performed by the Area Revenue Analyst and Internet Specialists to ensure consistency in execution of revenue strategies.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase incremental revenue based on historical demand, competitive positioning, seasonality, and market trends.
  • Lead and facilitate weekly revenue management meetings, reviewing performance, analyzing trends, and adjusting strategies to optimize results.
  • Communicate revenue strategies and performance insights to senior leadership and property teams to support informed decision-making.
  • Promote and embed revenue management principles across all revenue-generating departments through training, communication, and leadership.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to evaluate group opportunities, promotional strategies, and campaign performance to maximize profitability.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and analytical decision-making.
  • Lead the development of short-term and long-term revenue forecasts, including 30-60-90 day projections, monthly forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Develop revenue goals and objectives by market segment and track performance against budget and forecast.
  • Ensure forecast accuracy and integrity through ongoing analysis of booking pace, trends, and market conditions.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on revenue performance, variances, and opportunities.
  • Maintain expert-level working knowledge of revenue management systems, property management systems, CRS, and distribution platforms.
  • Oversee the effective use and optimization of all systems that support pricing, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of rates, inventory, and system configurations across all channels.
  • Support implementation and optimization of new technologies and tools that enhance revenue performance and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and execute distribution strategies to maximize revenue and profitability across all channels, including brand.com, OTA, GDS, and third-party partners.
  • Evaluate channel performance and identify opportunities to optimize mix, reduce cost of sale, and drive direct bookings.
  • Analyze marketplace data, including STR, Kalibri, and other benchmarking tools, to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Manage inventory and rate strategies to ensure optimal positioning across all booking channels.
  • Analyze market trends, booking patterns, and competitive data to inform pricing and inventory strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize business mix, including length of stay, segmentation, and booking window management.
  • Evaluate performance of pricing strategies, promotions, and distribution initiatives to measure ROI and effectiveness.
  • Translate data and analysis into actionable strategies that drive revenue growth and market share gains.
  • Continuously identify and implement best practices in revenue management.
