About The Position

The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing the performance of multiple Deutz Power Center (DPC) branches within a defined geographic region. This role oversees service, parts, field operations, and customer delivery in a whole-machine service model, supporting a diverse portfolio of OEM equipment including Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), telehandlers, and a broad range of light and heavy construction equipment used primarily in the rental and construction markets. The position drives operational excellence, financial performance, safety, and customer satisfaction while ensuring consistent execution of company standards across all locations.

Requirements

10+ years of operations leadership in equipment service, heavy equipment, rental, or power systems industries
Proven experience managing multi-location service operations
Strong financial acumen with P&L responsibility
Deep understanding of service operations (shop, field service, parts integration)
Experience supporting rental fleets or construction equipment service environments
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work with multiple departments and personalities.
Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through under tight timelines and pressured situations
Outstanding priority management, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to self-start and work without close supervision, understand what needs to be done, and take the required actions.
Capable of analyzing data and interpreting the results to drive solutions.
A high-energy, results-driven individual that is process oriented with the ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with multi-OEM service environments
Experience with diesel/gas engines, power generation, or industrial equipment platforms
Background in organizations with strong service metrics and KPI-driven management
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; however, candidates with equivalent hands-on industry experience in equipment service, power systems, or construction operations are strongly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership across multiple DPC branch locations
Drive consistency and execution in service operations, including shop, field service, and mobile repair teams
Ensure efficient workflow, technician productivity, and asset utilization across all branches
Standardize processes for diagnostics, repair quality, turnaround times, and service delivery
Leverage technology platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and telematics systems to monitor branch performance, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed operational decisions across all locations.
Own full regional P&L, including service revenue, parts and labor sales, labor efficiency, and cost control
Set and achieve revenue, margin, and profitability targets
Monitor KPIs such as: Technician utilization & efficiency, Billable labor hours, Labor gross margin, Service cycle times
Develop and execute annual budgets and forecasts
Strengthen and grow relationships with key customers in the rental, construction, and equipment dealer sectors
Partner with sales teams to grow service contracts, preventative maintenance programs, and repair volume
Ensure exceptional customer experience, rapid response times, and high equipment uptime
Drive and support expansion of Deutz service capabilities across represented equipment brands
Ensure technical competency across a range of OEM products supported within branches
Drive training programs to maintain certifications and expertise across multiple equipment platforms
Promote a “whole-machine” service approach—engines, power systems, and complete equipment solutions
Lead, coach, and develop Branch Managers, Service Managers, and frontline supervisors
Build high-performing teams focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and technician retention strategies
Foster a culture of operational discipline, customer focus, and collaboration
Oversee all aspects of performance management including regular performance reviews, goal setting, and when necessary, the administration of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and disciplinary processes in alignment with company policy and HR guidelines.
Develop and maintain a regional succession plan by identifying high-potential employees, creating individualized development pathways, and building a pipeline of future Branch Managers, Service Managers, and operational leaders to support long-term company growth.
Champion safety as a core value across all operations
Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company policies
Drive continuous improvement in safety metrics and incident reduction
Identify and implement process improvements, lean initiatives, and operational best practices
Leverage data and reporting tools to optimize decision-making and performance
Align regional operations with corporate strategy and growth initiatives
