This role is responsible for the development, implementation, integration, and coordination of Performance Improvement, Patient Safety, and Risk Management activities within an assigned region. The position involves regional oversight of these programs, leadership in accreditation and licensure, and collaborative work with facility-level administration and leadership. The goal is to ensure effective communication and execution of Performance Improvement plans from the department level to the Board of Directors, ensuring all employees understand and support these initiatives to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Regional Director will act as an expert resource for clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, and accreditation-related issues within their region.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of current experience in hospital management, inclusive of a leadership role in performance improvement and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Database.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Healthcare Accreditation (CSHA) highly desirable.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Health-related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Active License in related healthcare field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Development, implementation, integration, and coordination of Performance Improvement and Patient Safety along with Risk Management activities in the assigned region.
  • Regional oversight of Performance Improvement and Risk Management programs.
  • Assume a leadership role in accreditation and licensure activities.
  • Work collaboratively with Administration and Leadership at the facility level.
  • Ensure execution and communication of Performance Improvement, Patient Safety and Risk Management activities occurs from the department level to Board of Directors.
  • Ensure that all employees, including medical staff and members of the Governing Board articulate the Performance Improvement plan and activities.
  • Ensure that the organizational goals and activities support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Serve as an expert resource within the assigned region as related to clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory and performance improvement issues, and activities related to accreditation.
