IDEA Public SchoolsMidland, TX
$103,800 - $122,400Onsite

About The Position

At IDEA, we believe excellent school leaders are the key to ensuring scholars receive a world-class education. Driven by this belief, our Directors of Leader Development (DLDs) develop leaders within each IDEA region to ensure every school is led by a transformational leadership team. To achieve this mission, DLDs partner with principal supervisors, mentor principals, and other stakeholders to coach a portfolio of school leaders, which may include Cadre of Aspiring Principal (CAP) participants, Principals-in-Residence (PIRs), new principals, and/or returning principals. As a result of the work, DLDs ensure that their region achieves ambitious results for scholars in the current school year while simultaneously building a strong bench of leaders who are ready for future leadership roles (especially principalship) when openings arise. This role may manage other regional coaches, depending on the needs and context of the region. This is a full-time onsite position located in the Permian Basin. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the region, or who are willing to relocate. Directors of Leader Development are expected to work on campuses at least 80% of the time. When not working on a campus, they are able to work remotely if given approval by regional leaders.
