About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Regional Director of Facilities Management oversees all departmental functions associated with the handling of Facility Management for multiple sites to support the hospital's mission, vision, and facility goals. The Director establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors, supporting Senior Management in achieving facility goals. The Director will be an active team facilitator and strong communicator in emergency response and is authorized to access medication storage areas for maintenance, repairs, and supply delivery purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the repair and maintenance of facility equipment and systems, including preventive maintenance, inspections, calibration, and adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with State, Joint Commission, and OSHA requirements by maintaining up-to-date records
  • Direct and participate in the development of safety and disaster policies and ensure their effective implementation
  • Serve as the chair of the Safety Committee and as Safety Officer, reporting safety inspections and concerns for corrective action
  • Develop and implement programs for hazardous material management and life safety code compliance
  • Develop, implement, and revise policies and procedures that support facility services and align with organizational goals
  • Coordinate services within the department and integrate them with other hospital departments
  • Support Senior Management and collaborate on facility program development and service improvements
  • Accept responsibility for managing resources in a fiscally responsible manner, staffing according to volume fluctuations, and adhering to productivity goals
  • Participate in the selection of outside service providers and evaluate their performance against hospital standards
  • Promote a positive customer service attitude to encourage quality patient care and maintain the facility's reputation
