Regional Director of Construction
About The Position
The Regional Director of Construction oversees and manages multiple branch offices within a geographic region, ensuring projects and operations align with company strategic objectives and meet or exceed performance expectations. The role drives revenue growth, maintains profitability, and optimizes branch operational efficiency. It requires broad knowledge of multi-family construction, leadership of diverse teams, and a focus on client relationships. The position works on-site at an office or jobsite as needed and requires approximately 50% regional or national travel, with overtime as needed for job success.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of multi-family restoration or construction experience.
- At least 3 years of people leadership experience.
- Extensive network of trade-level subcontractors across the coverage region.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, time-sensitive, collaborative environment.
- Experience communicating effectively and creating alignment across different organizational levels.
- Knowledge and experience in cost containment and risk management.
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of construction costs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to make sound decisions that positively affect project and profit outcomes.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Ability to work on-site at an office or jobsite as needed.
- Ability to travel regionally or nationally as needed, approximately 50% of the time.

- Satisfactory driving record per insurance requirements.

- Prior leadership experience, ideally in a high-growth VC- or PE-backed environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals, align with corporate objectives, and maximize market share.
- Partner with Regional and National Sales to align strategic partnerships.
- Monitor branch operations to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, safety standards, and regulatory requirements; partner with General Managers to improve operations and establish standardized, scalable processes.
- Establish and monitor KPIs that drive operational excellence.
- Oversee regional financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop branch managers and project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance; build a talent pipeline through coaching and mentoring.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and key stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
- Ensure projects meet or exceed company quality standards and proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial, operational, and safety risks associated with construction projects.
