About The Position

As Dungarvin’s Regional Director, you will serve as a senior operational executive leading a multi-state region across Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. You will drive quality outcomes, financial performance, regulatory excellence, leadership development, and strategic growth across a diverse portfolio of services supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This high-impact role oversees a $50M+ operation supporting approximately 700 employees across residential services, ICF/IID, day programs, employment services, and community-based supports. As a key partner to the COO and executive team, you will shape regional strategy, support growth and acquisition initiatives, navigate complex operational challenges, and develop high-performing leaders. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field (Psychology, Counseling, Allied Health, Educational Psychology, Sociology, etc.).
  • 5+ years of progressive senior-level leadership experience overseeing complex human services operations, developing leaders, managing geographically dispersed teams, and achieving quality, operational, and financial objectives.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including direct experience overseeing Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF/IID) and services such as residential, day programs, employment/vocational supports, and community-based programs.
  • Proven experience overseeing $50M+ budgets, P&L performance, forecasting, labor management, and resource allocation while leveraging operational metrics to improve performance and support strategic decision-making.
  • Experience leading multi-state initiatives, M&A activities, change-of-ownership processes, RFPs, business development efforts, and organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications and operational reporting systems, with experience leveraging Power BI dashboards and analytics to identify trends, measure outcomes, improve performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of ID/DD/IDD, ICF, HCBS, Medicaid Waiver programs, managed care models, CMS requirements, state licensing regulations, compliance standards, and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience navigating multi-state operations, funding structures, provider networks, crisis management, and system-level change.
  • Experience evaluating operations, improving systems and workflows, and implementing strategies that enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Advanced education, leadership training, or relevant certifications such as CPHQ, PMP, cHAP, Lean Six Sigma, CARF accreditation/surveyor credentials, or other healthcare, quality, or compliance credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight for Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services while achieving operational, financial, and organizational goals.
  • Strengthen quality assurance systems, monitor performance trends, ensure regulatory readiness, and proactively identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
  • Oversee regional financial performance, including P&L accountability, budgeting, forecasting, labor optimization, and resource allocation while identifying opportunities for sustainable growth and improved business performance.
  • Support business development initiatives, acquisitions, change-of-ownership activities, integration efforts, and strategic projects that expand services and strengthen regional operations.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop senior leaders while building leadership pipelines, strengthening accountability, and fostering a culture aligned with Dungarvin’s mission and values.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal leaders, state agencies, funding partners, regulatory organizations, families, and community stakeholders to advance organizational goals.
