About The Position

This position is responsible for identifying deficiencies within existing customer accounts, which have been identified by field inspectors or other documentation. They are responsible for promoting and selling products/services to correct these deficiencies while providing excellent customer service and completing turnovers in a timely manner. This position is accountable for achieving sales goals and desired revenues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • 2 years operating a computer, Microsoft Office, required.
  • Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees, customers and board or directors.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Reliable transportation, required.
  • Must be able to comply with SFS’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Business or related, preferred.
  • 2 years relevant work experience in business development, or Fire Life Safety sales experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, communicating, pricing, and negotiating all client deficiency sales calls to maintain and build SFS's service business.
  • Generating new proposals, following up on active proposals, and closing sales on active proposals.
  • Communicating the status of active proposals to Management.
  • Reviewing and proposing solutions for all Inspection Repair opportunities within 2 business days.
  • Following up and updating status in Salesforce on all submitted proposals within 5 business days.
  • Reviewing 100% of red tags in Building Reports daily.
  • Triaging customer priorities to determine order completion sequence.
  • Assigning opportunities to another Sales Representative as appropriate.
  • Providing High Quality Service Hand Offs (turnover forms, clear scopes, team-oriented).
  • Keeping opportunity status updated in Salesforce and status tags updated in Building Reports.
  • Developing product knowledge concerning all products and services offered by Summit.
  • Explaining the difference in products and services to customers.
  • Managing current workload volume and multitasking incoming requests from external sources.
  • Maintaining a good positive relationship with the customer and passing on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns.
  • Ensuring that all internal and external customers and co-workers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment.
  • Staying current with technical aspects of the job by reading technical manuals, bulletins, product brochures, etc.
  • Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by following OSHA and company safety programs.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
  • Maintaining punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Working collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Respectfully taking direction from RSM and local management.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
