About The Position

The Simplot Company is seeking a Regional Cost Accountant to determine and implement cost accounting procedures and methods. This role is responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports, examining and reviewing unusual cost records, and ensuring cost data is allocated correctly. The position involves performing accounting for price variances and overhead recovery, updating standard costs for existing and new products, and managing time effectively to complete all required tasks. The role requires providing efficient analysis and supporting details for requests, and updating daily cost reports for both Pasco and Othello locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
• 3+ years related experience and/or training
• Broad understanding of Accounting fundamentals and principles.
• Time management skills

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports.
• Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly.
• Performs accounting for price variances and overhead recovery on a regular basis.
• Updates standard costs on a regular basis; sets up standard costs for new products.
• Time management skills to complete all required tasks.
• Provide efficient analysis and supporting details of requests.
• Update both Pasco and Othello’s daily cost reports.
