Position Summary: The Region Controller will serve as the senior accounting leader for Price Engineering and have oversight to sister business with common systems. They will be responsible for all aspects of reporting financial results, development of financial statements, lead budgeting and forecasting processes and prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for the business. This leader will be a key business partner to the Business President, and be an integral part of the business and finance leadership teams. In addition, the person will be a primary liaison to the corporate finance team and support systems integrations, finance best practices, provide audit requirements and adhere to internal controls and compliance. Overview · Ensure a timely and accurate month-end close, lead financial statement preparation, and manage deadlines effectively · Lead accounting position for the business with ownership of month-end financial statements including: P&L, balance sheet, cash, variance analysis and management of net working capital · Oversight of the financial requirements of sister businesses that share common ERP · Act as a partner to the business leaders, cross-functional teams, and accounting team providing monthly/quarterly/annual accounting and financial packets, support of audit requirements, and analytics to drive business growth · Collaborate with corporate teams to support systems and shared services initiatives · Willing to work through manual processes and multiple systems to support the ability to meet deadlines as well as develop improvements and operational efficiency Accounting Operations and Internal Controls · Lead the financial reporting and close process for the business and region · Manage the general ledger, including key account reconciliations, flux analysis, and variance review · Possess a strong foundation in accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, and related items · Have a strong grasp of accounting framework and application of accounting in a manual environment as transition to next-generation system occurs · Maintain and adhere to internal control framework consistent with expectations of broader company · Standardize financial processes and reporting across the region under same ERP (P21) Financial Reporting and Compliance · Oversee consolidation process and preparation and accuracy of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and all related audit testing and engagements · Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyze the operational drivers of variances · Assist each of the region businesses with financial analysis, and opportunities to grow the business · Manage commissions and related compensation calculations for the business · Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting for internal management, lenders, and ownership stakeholders · Standardize accounting policies, procedures, and reporting across entities to ensure Team Development · Build and mentor the accounting team across the businesses on P21 ERP system · Willing to teach, develop, and organize the group for success · Drive the group to use tools, systems and documentation in more modern form Personal Qualification · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA, MBA or master’s degree preferred

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 – 5 years in a previous controller capacity
  • Experience in a private-equity–backed or public company environment of comparable scale ($1B+) with strong accounting background with demonstrated financial analysis expertise
  • Adaptability and comfort working across multiple ERP systems, with ability to adopt new systems
  • Highly organized: Ability to plan through a month end process, and to adhere to timelines
  • Analytical strength with the ability to understand financial variances and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work with team members in multiple locations and at varying levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate accounting results in a comprehensive and proactive manner
  • Work effectively across a decentralized, fast-paced organization
  • Hands-on, detailed leader who builds scalable, efficient accounting processes and understands what a good team requires
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build dynamic financial models, automate reporting, and develop clear, executive-level presentations
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, including Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), with the ability to navigate multi-entity environments and support system-driven process improvements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial distribution, manufacturing, or multi-location business experience preferred with knowledge of cost accounting in an operational environment
  • Experience with financial consolidation and reporting tools, with OneStream experience strongly preferred
  • CPA, MBA or master’s degree preferred
