About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of healthcare and mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Regional Consult Specialist to join our Regional Office team. The Regional Consult Specialist is responsible for performing administrative duties to support program needs including clerical, secretarial, and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic logs in real time, processing consult and prior approval for submission to Utilization Management. The Consult Coordinator receives requests for patients to receive medical consultations, and prior approval responsible for gathering, and identifying the clinical documents to support the requests, performs medical records entries in regards to consult and prior approvals, and schedules and conducts weekly calls with on-site leadership and providers. This role will work extensively with Fusion EMR, Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel and Access.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of secretarial or office experience with Centurion required
  • Must have experience with Fusion EMR and UM work flows to include chart entries, and order manager
  • Good communication and organizational skills, professional phone etiquette and accurate typing skills
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Fusion EMR and Microsoft Office required.
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Consult processing experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
