About The Position

This truck share position is running open-board within Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, and some Manitoba as required with an average of 2200-2500 miles per week. The working schedule is a rotating 5 days on, 2 days off, 5 days on, 3 days off. Hours and days of work might change from time to time according to operational demands. Regional work will be required, and overnight trips are necessary, with drivers on the road up to four nights per week. Additional work might be available upon request in a spare unit in a home-daily capacity. The average mileage is 400 to 500 miles per day and 2200-2500 miles per week. The truck share unit is non-smoking.

Requirements

  • 24 months of tractor-trailer experience.
  • Valid Class 1/AZ License.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Ability to drive Highways 1 & 3 in B.C. 12 months a year.
  • Ability to drive to Thomson, MB 12 months a year.
  • Ability to lift 50 lb. or more.
  • Willingness to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol.
  • Reefer experience.
  • Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

  • CP Rail experience.
  • Container experience.
