About Large Power Systems Division The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is part of Caterpillar’s Power & Energy segment. Through this global organization, Caterpillar designs and manufactures large (greater than 18 liters) diesel and natural gas engines, powertrains and key engine systems. LPSD products and solutions support customers across power generation, industrial, marine, oil & gas, rail, services and Cat® machine applications worldwide. LPSD teams work across regions and functions to deliver safe, reliable and compliant solutions that help solve our customers’ toughest challenges. Role Definition We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Compliance Engineer to lead product safety and compliance management activities for generator set (Genset) products across the United States and Canada. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet all applicable regulatory, safety, and industry certification requirements. The successful candidate will act as the primary interface between the engineering organization and certification agencies such as UL, CSA, and other recognized certification and regulatory bodies , ensuring timely certification, maintenance of approvals, and resolution of compliance-related issues. The role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Quality, and external agencies to support product development, certification, and market access objectives. This position also requires periodic travel to test laboratories and certification facilities to witness product testing, support certification activities, and ensure compliance requirements are met. In addition, the role will be responsible for establishing and continuously improving compliance management processes and governance frameworks.
