Regional CDL-A Container Driver – Home Weekly + No-Touch Freight
About The Position
The Regional CDL-A Container Driver operates regional intermodal routes from terminals in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, serving central and western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and western New York. The position hauls no-touch container freight on chassis using drop-and-hook operations. Drivers average approximately 2,100 miles per week when managing their hours efficiently. Compensation includes mileage pay and stop pay. Weekly home time is provided for a 34-hour reset, usually on weekends and sometimes during the week. Schedules run Sunday–Friday or Monday–Saturday to help maximize mileage. Drivers must have a safe, legal place to park the truck and container at home; limited bobtail parking may be available for drivers living near the port.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- TWIC card required for hire; applicants may begin the application process after applying for the card.
- Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 30 days.
- Provide receipts to receive reimbursement for endorsement fees.
- Have a safe and legal parking location for the truck and container at home.
- Drivers with SAP are not eligible.
