About The Position

Silverado Hospice is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Office Manager (BOM) to oversee administrative operations, HR compliance, billing, and site support for their Dallas region, covering Addison, Fort Worth, and Austin areas. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and supporting the company's mission of compassionate care. Requirements

  • Must be able to travel once a month to corporate site location
  • Reliable transportation to consistently meet attendance and punctuality standards
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
  • Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory and financial aspects of hospice programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sympathetic attitude toward hospice patients and families
  • Comfortable working in environments with pets

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Administrative experience in hospice, palliative care, or related healthcare fields preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise administrative staff where applicable
  • Maintain and audit personnel files for completeness and accuracy
  • Manage contracts with facilities, physicians, agencies, and vendors
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hospice office(s)
  • Ensure site compliance with OSHA safety and emergency preparedness regulations
  • Enter payable invoices into Yardi for approval and timely payment
  • Participate in site leadership meetings and Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and accounting of petty cash; process monthly into Yardi
  • Maintain site organizational charts and rosters
  • Ensure updated licenses and credentials for compliance with Silverado policy and CMS Conditions of Participation
  • Assist with HR activities including onboarding, leave requests, workers’ compensation, recognition, coaching, and terminations
  • Order office and associate supplies
  • Partner with Administrator and billing team on billing oversight
  • Ensure employee educational pathways are completed
  • Respond to urgent or time-sensitive matters outside scheduled hours as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Assume Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) Duties only to sites where hospice census falls below the designated threshold, responsibilities include, serving as liaison between the Director of Patient Care Services and Patient Care Managers, managing IDG schedules and agendas, monitoring patient visit frequencies, ordering medical supplies, distributing triage reports, and performing other PCC-related duties until census supports staffing the PCC role as a separate full-time position.
