Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Refrigeration & HVAC Field Support Role.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Manager Role.
  • P & L management experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC industry, including principles and practices related to Dispatch, Call Center, Coordination, Purchasing management, Account management, data analytics
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to manage direct reports with teams assigned. Delegation of authority and responsibility.
  • Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions.
  • Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues and to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management as an advisor on projects, and to act as the company’s principal spokesperson in area of expertise.
  • Ability to make decisions that have significant impact on the department’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and the work schedules of others on short-term and long-term basis.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, clearly, and quickly.
  • Ability to make informal presentations, inside and/or outside the organization; speaking before groups
  • Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and/or to develop forecasts.
  • MS Query skills and experience.
  • Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
  • Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, Inventory Database, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Directing the activities and providing leadership for region-wide field support staff in the regional offices and their duties.
  • Responsible for both installation and service business across their assigned region supporting profitable installation projects and forecast of appropriate manpower levels and skills to meet customer and regulation requirements, customer satisfaction levels and support executed margin obtainment.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
  • Provide objectives, direction, leadership and accountability for all operations coordinators, dispatchers, purchasers, local account managers, and others in a support role working in a regional office.
  • Provide effective knowledge in the areas listed and produce effective management by delegating to direct reports responsible for the following: Operations Coordinator Role, Truck Inventory Management, Branch Warehouse Inventory Management, Regional Fleet Management, Uniform Management, Facilities Management, Safety Training Management, Technical Training and Development, Certification Tracking and Management, Refrigerant Tracking, Field Dispatch Management Role, Dispatch Systems and Schedules, Customer Service, Call Center, EMS, Purchasing Role, Equipment and Part Sourcing, Quote Production, Process and Manage: Return Material Authorization (RMA’s), Purchase Order Management and Control, Installation Coordination Role, Vendor Management, Manpower Reporting, Project Performance Forecasting, Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, quote, award management, Delivery Schedule and Management, Projectmate’s Use and Management.
  • Manage all processes within span of control and create KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI) for those departments managed.
  • Provide clear and simple goals for those departments and/or individuals annually to grow their capabilities and increase operational performance of the office support staff.
  • Support Field Operations by communicating manpower and equipment utilization; ensuring proper resources are matched with workload.
  • Support operational excellence and continuous process improvement initiatives within service and installation practices.
  • Develop, administer and institutionalize policies and procedures that are related to departments under your control.
  • Ensure appropriate training and support for all staff appropriately for the department or team assigned.
  • Champion a culture that embraces and practices safe working habits and hold employees accountable for following all company policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the region. Shoot for perfection and reach excellence.
  • Continuously improve the organization’s procedures to ensure efficient planning, materials, and coordination on jobs to achieve desired financial performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective clear communication across organizational lines.
  • Manage and escalate customer issues, conduct root-cause analysis and implement appropriate corrective actions to prevent similar issues in the future.
