Regional Assurance Director/Professional Practices - Atlanta (Remote)
About The Position
Cherry Bekaert, one of the largest accounting and consulting firms in the country, is seeking a highly motivated Regional Assurance Director - Audit Professional Practices for its growing Professional Practices team. This team provides comprehensive support to the assurance service line, covering audit methodology, quality control, integration of acquired firms, audit process and innovation, and technical accounting. The selected candidate will serve as the primary quality resource for assurance within one of the firm’s regions, conducting quality reviews, offering consultations, and guiding teams through complex issues. This highly visible role offers significant training, development, and professional growth, involving extensive interaction with audit teams across various commercial industries. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior technical skills, uncompromising integrity, excellent project management abilities, leadership skills, and a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are also essential.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working for a Big 4, large national, or regional accounting firm
- QC Experience to include EQRs over various industries
- PCAOB audit experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA certified and have an active CPA license
- Superior technical skills
