About The Position

Charles Schwab Insurance Services (CSIS) supports the insurance and annuity needs of millions of individual investors and thousands of Registered Investment Advisors. CSIS is responsible for annuity and insurance product management, distribution support, partner oversight, and the platforms and tools that enable these services. As a Regional Annuity Specialist, you will serve as a key resource for financial consultants, providing specialized knowledge and expertise on annuity products and solutions. Your role is to help clients achieve their retirement and income goals by delivering guidance on annuities as part of a broader wealth management strategy. You will work closely with Schwab’s advisors, clients, and internal partners to deepen client relationships and enhance Schwab’s reputation as a trusted financial institution.

Requirements

  • Deep product expertise on annuity products.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and build capability.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication of complex financial concepts.

  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active FINRA Series 6 or 7 license.
  • Active FINRA Series 63 license (or equivalent).

  • Life & Health Insurance License (may be obtained within the first 120 days).
  • Advanced degrees or certifications including CFP®, CFA®, ChFC®.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on annuity products, providing credible, specialized guidance to advisors and clients.
  • Frame annuity recommendations within a broader retirement strategy.
  • Educate and coach financial consultants on annuity solutions.
  • Partner with product development, operations, and wealth specialists to ensure solutions remain aligned, accurate, and up to date.
  • Communicate complex financial concepts by simplifying product features and educating both consultants and clients.
  • Align solutions to client retirement and income goals.
  • Strengthen client relationships and build trust.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, spanning advisor support, client engagement, product alignment, and internal collaboration.
