About The Position

This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of surveillance and security systems, including cameras and access control hardware. The position involves troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, documentation, inventory management, and assisting with policy and procedure development. The role also includes training support staff and end-users, communicating incidents, coordinating with specialists and partners, and providing on-call escalated support for 24x7 emergency issues affecting surveillance systems operations. This involves evaluating escalated support requests and determining the necessity of on-site support.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair cameras, access control, and related hardware for surveillance and security operations.
  • Perform troubleshooting and testing of the Alarm System, Access Control System, and the Surveillance System.
  • Supervise, conduct, and maintain the Surveillance Systems Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of equipment configurations, charts, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all surveillance system related devices.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of all surveillance systems policies and procedures.
  • Assist with training of support staff and end users on surveillance and security systems, service level agreements, and operational/information security procedures.
  • Maintain direct communication with the Surveillance Systems Lead Technician and Surveillance Systems Administrator regarding incidents and technical problems.
  • Coordinate and supervise surveillance specialists and contracted surveillance engineering and support partners.
  • Provide on-call escalated support for 24x7 emergency issues affecting the Surveillance Systems Operation.
  • Evaluate escalated support requests from Tier 1 IT Helpdesk support and respond accordingly.
  • Direct escalated support issues through the Surveillance Systems Administrator or Lead Technician before determining on-site support is necessary.
