Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Foundational understanding of debits and credits, journal entries, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accrual concepts, and basic financial statements
Comfort in using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, formatting, sorting, and filtering
Drive, curiosity, accountability, and the desire to get better

Responsibilities

General ledger accounting and journal entries
Bank, cash, balance sheet, and fixed-asset reconciliations
Month-end and year-end close support
Financial reporting and variance research
Documentation, controls, and audit support
Working with community and corporate partners to resolve missing or inconsistent information
Supporting the accounting continuity and capacity required as Cardinal grows and acquires new communities
