About The Position
Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. This position is in the Toxicology Business Unit, servicing agencies in the government criminal justice and treatment market. Sales professional driving new growth in the government market as defined by Abbott sales management. This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (± 16 years), Related field an equivalent combination of education and work experience OR Masters Degree (± 18 years)
- Minimum 9 years, Related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area.
- Comprehensive knowledge and application business concepts, procedures and practices.
- Uses in-depth knowledge of business unit functions and cross group dependencies/ relationships.
- Is recognized as an expert in work group.
- Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
- Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Has broad knowledge of various technical alternatives and their potential impact on the business.
Responsibilities
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling and lead generation
- Set up meetings with prospects to introduce our products and services
- Perform prospect and customer needs assessments
- Prepare and send quotes and proposals
- Coordinate and secure contracts and agreements between new clients and contracts team
- Support new account implementation activities within sales and operations
- Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products and services
- Attend trade shows and in-person customer visits

- The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 – $156,000.00
