Regional Account Manager, Toxicology - Northwestern & Midwestern US
About The Position
Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. The Regional Account Manager will be part of the Toxicology Business Unit, servicing agencies in the government, criminal justice, and treatment market. This role is a US remote field-based position covering our Northwestern & Midwestern US region. Candidates must be based in a metropolitan city with access to an airport. Up to 50% of travel will include overnights.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree
- 7+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record in Sales that includes having a hunter mindset and self-motivated.
- Demonstrated experience managing and negotiating customer contracts in a senior sales or account management role.
- Experience in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and Salesforce
- Excellent organizational and time management skills required
- Strong communication, verbal, and written skills a must
- Must be willing to travel in multi-state territory with some overnight travel included
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in government sales
- Drug testing industry knowledge
- Criminal justice or treatment market knowledge
- Experience in lab screen and confirmation sales a plus
Responsibilities
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling and lead generation
- Set up meetings with prospects to introduce our products and services
- Perform prospect and customer needs assessments
- Prepare and send quotes and proposals
- Coordinate and secure contracts and agreements between new clients and contracts team
- Support new account implementation activities within sales and operations
- Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products and services
- Attend trade shows and in-person customer visits
