About The Position

Provides day-to-day support to the regional field operations team and manages dealer-facing regional administrative functions, including DDO/Inventory/Vehicle logistics, MBEP/MCVP/ABP, Vehicle Incentives, and Aftersales Operations. The Regional Ops Specialist will also be responsible for answering dealer inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and processes, including warranty questions, labor rate and parts markup increases, while delivering exceptional service to the Mazda dealer network. These positions collaborate with region leadership and the field team to identify opportunities for optimizing dealer performance, spearhead program administration, analyze and report on key metrics, manage the department budget, and ensure effective communication between management, field, and dealers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Prior work experience in a customer-facing role or internship is preferred.
  • Experience in a sales-related role using a consultative approach.
  • Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment with sound judgment and clear reasoning.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify problems and/or cause-effect relationships, key issues, secure relevant information, identify possible root causes, and develop/implement corrective actions.
  • Well-balanced interpersonal skills; ability to clearly and effectively communicate orally and in writing, using good grammatical form, in general correspondence and on technical issues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, dealers, field staff, corporate staff, and vendors.
  • Must consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively with the team/work group, as well as with other departments and/or outside contractors/clients/vendors.
  • Must consistently adhere to MNAO’s policies and procedures and be a positive example by demonstrating the Company’s core competencies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer literacy with spreadsheets, word processing, and business systems (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and/or direction.
  • Satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and a current, valid State driver's license are required.
  • Willingness to relocate within the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of automotive mechanics and industry terminology.
  • Experience with an automotive OEM in a corporate, region, or field role with an understanding of an OEM/dealership relationship.
  • Automotive or relevant industry experience in fixed operations, i.e., experience in a service or parts related role working for a repair shop, parts store, parts or accessories supplier, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop regular Region to Dealer communications for assigned areas: Aftersales, Incentives, Sales Planning, Parts Sales, or Mazda Program Generalist. Manage messaging, timing, activities, and administration.
  • Develop regular Region to Field communications regarding out-of-line conditions and recommended actions.
  • Monitor and manage program and performance of Regional Operations initiatives focused on dealer performance and business planning.
  • Integrate and support national, regional, and district plans and initiatives.
  • Assist with annual, quarterly, and monthly regional projects.
  • Establish and maintain ad hoc analysis, tracking, and reporting of project progress, completion, and review.
  • Incorporate Business Objects data into actionable information (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), develop presentations, and present findings.
  • Act as a regional champion for Business Objects/Oracle software tools.
  • Lead regional research efforts, data analysis, and dissemination.
  • Monitor, track, and reconcile department budgets.
  • Assist Department Manager with budget analysis as needed.
