About The Position

EquipmentShare is seeking a Region Fleet Manager for its rental facilities in Region 5. This role is responsible for overseeing all transportation operations and fleet logistics across megasites in the region. The Fleet Manager will coordinate equipment movement between locations, manage driver scheduling and third-party hauling partners, and ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective transportation processes. This position serves as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, proactively resolving challenges and optimizing fleet performance.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, email platforms, and fleet/logistics management systems
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Strong technical understanding of construction equipment and the rental industry
• Strategic thinking with a focus on process improvement and cost efficiency
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in construction industry and/or fleet transportation preferred
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fleet operations, including scheduling and dispatching of regional drivers and coordination of third-party hauling services
• Lead communication with branch managers, drivers, and external vendors to ensure seamless equipment transportation between locations
• Negotiate and manage vendor relationships and hauling costs to maintain budget efficiency
• Proactively identify, address, and resolve transportation challenges to meet delivery timelines
• Develop and implement processes to improve operational efficiency, cost control, and service quality
• Review, approve, and manage purchase orders related to transportation and logistics
• Ensure all transportation activities meet safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a high level of customer service for both internal teams and external customers
• Track and analyze fleet performance metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
