About The Position

This position is responsible for performing non-invasive vascular diagnostic studies in accordance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards and departmental protocols to support the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease. The role conducts and evaluates vascular ultrasound examinations, documents preliminary findings, and correlates diagnostic results with the patient's clinical presentation and medical history. Responsibilities include obtaining comprehensive patient assessments, maintaining accurate records, ensuring quality assurance compliance, monitoring equipment performance and inventory needs, and communicating study results to physicians as appropriate. The position may also require travel to off-site locations using a mobile vascular van, participates in the training and development of cardiovascular trainees, and supports the delivery of high-quality patient care through accurate, timely, and professional diagnostic services.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited (or accreditation eligible) cardiovascular ultrasound degree program and/or qualifying experience in accordance with IAC guidelines.
  • Registered in non-invasive imaging with active status registry from ARDMS or CCI.
  • New graduates will have 1 year after graduating to obtain registry.
  • Excellent understanding of Vascular Hemodynamics.
  • Skilled use of vascular testing equipment.
  • Experience with Color Flow Vascular Imaging.
  • Ability to give preliminary interpretations.
