Requirements

  • Minimum – High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a violation-free NYS driver’s license, be able to operate a standard transmission truck, and be approved/authorized by the CAS insurance company to drive company vehicles
  • Previous warehouse or stock clerk experience
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Occasional computer use (Microsoft Word/Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, collects and distributes recycled materials to the local recycling center.
  • On a daily basis collects recycled materials and garbage from all CAS facilities, the campus Bookstore and other campus buildings.
  • Is responsible for maintaining the recycling center in a clean and sanitary manner
  • Is responsible for the collection and distribution of recycled material
  • Is responsible for the pickup and disposal of trash from all campus and CAS owned properties
  • May perform other CAS related tasks. These may include but are not limited to: assisting with catered events, putting up and taking down the CAS tent, delivering computers and office supplies, delivery and set up of tables, chair and other dining facility equipment
  • May be required to deliver redeemable recycled materials to local recycling centers
  • May be responsible for unloading, receiving, inspecting and storing shipments of goods
  • May be responsible for manually delivering supplies to or receiving supplies from campus facilities
  • May be required to deliver supplies to or purchase from local establishments
  • May be required to deliver vehicles to or pick up from service centers
  • Must have knowledge of the NYS health and sanitation code guidelines
  • Other duties may be assigned to reach individual and organizational goals.
