About The Position

The Refurbishment Operations Lead is responsible for coordinating operations personnel to execute the daily build plan inclusive of meeting production, quality, safety, and housekeeping objectives. This position is also responsible for working cross-departmentally to communicate and resolve daily operations issues. They will need to reassign employees as required and give directions when the supervisor is absent from the work area and as required to maintain daily production.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the inter-related processes of production, shipping, inventory, and the end-user
  • Ability to comply with standard processes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team and management
  • Ability to trouble-shoot problems and resolve issues effectively
  • Knowledge of ISO and Audit protocols
  • Travel to Corporate offices and customer sites as needed.
  • Frequently required to stand for long periods, use hands/fingers repetitively, handle or feel objects, tools, and talk or hear.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include some close vision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating operations personnel to enable the daily build plan.
  • Meeting production, quality, safety and housekeeping objectives.
  • Overseeing and directing the receiving, teardown, assembly, preconditioning, stretch wrap, truck trailer loading/unloading and fork truck personnel.
  • Communicating and resolving daily operations issues cross-departmentally.
  • Reassigning employees as required and giving direction when Manager is absent from work area and as required to maintain daily production.
  • Ensuring all inbound materials are received and accessed in the database, confirming accuracy.
  • Supporting the transfer of components to the floor and storage locations.
  • Identifying shortages or surpluses and communicating them to the Refurbishment Manager and Logistics Coordinator.
  • Monitoring the flow of inbound and outbound activities.
  • Working with Quality and Logistics to ensure daily outbound orders are correct and shipped on time.
  • Coordinating and scheduling outbound and inbound material and product shipments to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Coordinating and/or driving a Company truck if needed to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Identifying component shortages to Inventory Control.
  • Daily review of the build plan to ensure availability of all required materials.
  • Monitoring job orders and requirements, reacting to changes as needed.
  • Collecting and assessing for accuracy all work orders, special instructions, components, and shipping documentation in accordance with the Aeroloop build schedule.
  • Communicating any order issues to the Manager.
  • Filling out daily reports for inventory consumption and sending them to finance on a daily basis.
  • Supporting all Leads and operators with component requests.
  • Supporting accuracy to work orders and shipping documentation.
  • Coordinating loading of trucks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicating delays and errors to the Manager.
  • Supporting the daily operations of the Refurbishment area inclusive of directing and reassigning operators.
  • Working with Inventory control to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Inputting daily builds onto log sheets and validating material consumption.
  • Adhering to and supporting all safety procedures and SOP’s.
