About The Position

JBS USA is hiring a third-shift Refrigeration Technician to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain site ammonia refrigeration systems and support plant equipment maintenance. The role helps maintain a safe plant that meets federal, state, and local environmental requirements. A resume is preferred. The position has no application deadline; recruiting will continue until the role is filled. Applicants must complete a background check and drug test after an offer and before starting work. Employment eligibility verification must be documented by the end of the third day of work.

Requirements

• Must pass a mechanical knowledge test.
• Must be able to learn quickly and make good decisions.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and perform a variety of duties.
• Must be able to work in areas with extreme heat and extreme cold.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• A resume is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration operation in a food industry environment is preferred.
• PLC knowledge is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain site ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Label and tag systems and/or perform verification checks.
• Support plant equipment and help maintain a safe plant that meets federal, state, and local environmental requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
