About The Position

The 3rd Shift Refrigeration Technician maintains and supports site ammonia refrigeration systems and plant equipment. The position involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining refrigeration systems, completing day-to-day equipment repairs, and performing system labeling, tagging, and verification checks. The technician supports plant equipment and helps maintain a safe plant in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental requirements. The role requires a mechanical knowledge test, the ability to work in extreme heat and cold, and a background check and drug test.

Requirements

• Must pass a mechanical knowledge test.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Must be able to learn quickly and make good decisions.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and perform a variety of duties.
• Must be able to work in areas with extreme heat and extreme cold conditions.
• Must complete a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Strong knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration operation in a food industry environment is preferred.
• PLC knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain site ammonia refrigeration systems.
