We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our Maintenance Services, Mechanical & Refrigeration team in Broadmeadows site. In this role, you will maintain and service refrigeration and air-conditioning systems that support key manufacturing and laboratory environments. Your work directly contributes to keeping vital production operations running with minimal downtime, ensuring life-saving medicines reach patients in need. You will be working on a day work (7:00am – 3:40pm) Monday to Friday, 9 day fortnight.

Requirements

Trade qualification as a Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Technician.
Experience maintaining commercial or industrial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
Ability to work autonomously and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Knowledge of and experience in CMMS systems.

Nice To Haves

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other cGMP environments (Preferred but not essential).
Post-trade training and demonstrated experience in air conditioning, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical or electrical/electronic systems (highly desirable).

Responsibilities

Carry out fault finding, corrective action, and preventative maintenance across refrigeration and air‑conditioning plant.
Perform plant isolations, safety checks, and operate systems for maintenance shutdowns and restarts.
Locating and accurately log use of parts from the engineering warehouse store.
Assisting the Maintenance Engineer as and when required with the planning, scheduling and conduct of major work.
Interpret engineering drawings and prepare sketches for system modifications.
Maintain accurate records in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or potential production impacts.
Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers and Lead Technicians on planned works, major shutdowns, and continuous improvement activities.
